After noticing nightly activity under the wild apple trees around the house, I decided to set up a wildlife camera. Look at the adorable ‘catch’! Even if all the apples are disappearing, how could you say ‘no’ to that face?! What a cutie!
We have five white-tailed deer here, twice daily (early morning and early evening) to do the circuit from apple tree to apple tree. Between wind-fall, and the naturally-maturing process of apples, many of the fruit land on the ground, only to be scooped up by wildlife that need to pack on calories for the coming winter. Eat hearty, sweet ones.
