Sackville’s Struts Gallery and The Owens Art Gallery host their major fund raising event, The Sweetest Little Thing, every February 14, Sackville, New Brunswick.

Participating artists from across Canada are given a small jewellery box with which to make creative use and invited to return it for silent auction. In keeping with her natural theme, DiTullio used it as an entomological storage case, complete with cut-out lid for viewing the “captured” insect. The enclosed creature was created using staples on watercolour paper. The pin was very purposefully pressed into the cotton outside of the range of the insect.
