From May-October 2013 I will be at my art booth in Ottawa’s famous ByWard Market. I am going to try to be there 4 days a week from Thursday to Sunday but I will confirm this schedule after a few weeks of testing the venue. It all starts May 4th and I hope to see you there!

I am 1 of 40 Official Artists of Canadian Tulip Festival!

I’m very proud to announce that I have become one of just 40 Official Artists of this year’s Canadian Tulip Festival.

In 1945, the Dutch royal family sent 100,000 tulip bulbs to Ottawa in gratitude for Canadians having sheltered Princess Juliana and her daughters for the preceding three years during the Second World War. In 1953, an 18-day festival was born to preserve and celebrate that heritage. It has become the largest tulip festival in the world.

I am honoured to be called a 2013 Official Artist of the festival. The 40 artists’ renditions of tulips can be seen at City Hall throughout the festival.

Insects in Modern Art

The Caddis Fly larva builds its home by weaving silk with tiny sticks and particles found at the bottom of a pond or river, where it lives. Contemporary French artist Hubert Duprat used their habits in an experiment that would have them using jewels, gold, and shiny objects to make their homes. The results are beautiful. Wonder Geeks Activate — an art show just for geeks!

“Wonder Geeks Activate” is a show put together by geeks for geeks.
February 25th, 7-10PM.
Zaphod Beeblebrox Night Club, 27 York Street, Ottawa, ON.
I am proud to be one of 11 artists selected for this “geeky” show. I’ll have my Steampunk- and geek-themed paper-mosaic art there.
I will reimburse your cover charge if you purchase art from me that evening.

Group show at Trinity Art Gallery

“Mosaic – Mosaïque” is a show that is a true mosaic and culmination of many styles and mediums. From traditional watercolour and glasswork to multi-depth wall sculpture and newly-developed processes such as paper-tile mosaic, this show wows the eyes and imagination. On exhibition in the lovely space of Trinity Art Gallery, the show runs until March 19th; Monday to Sunday from 1AM to 10PM. Trinity ArtGallery is on the Ground Floor of the Shenkman Arts Centre at 245 Centrum Blvd. in Orleans. “Mosaic – Mosaïque” is organized by ArtEast, a highly-active, not-for-profit, visual arts organization.

I’m proud to have had 2 artworks selected for this juried group show.
